China is home to the largest number of endangered snow leopards in the world. This nation shares a border with 9 of the 12 other countries where snow leopards are found and contains over half of the world’s potential snow leopard habitat.
The Snow Leopard Trust began working in China in 2004. We partner with Shan Shui to support 1 full-time staff and 2 part-time graduate student positions to grow snow leopard conservation efforts in the country.
